Artezio has designed Friendly Citizens, a unique app for saving pets based on uber-technologies. The software solution is built for iOS and Android mobile devices and allows coordinating the efforts of many people to help stray and lost pets.
The app applies a principle of an uber-system, in other words, it connects people asking for help and providing help in real time on a single technological platform. The users of Friendly Citizens can reach out to each other for help and describe the events taking place nearby. The app allows not only informing about such problems as, for example, pets left unattended but also monitoring how these events develop. Any user can create a request for help and get reports on who provides this help and how the situation evolves. Such an approach allows fully implementing the principle of “assistance at request”, and not just informing communication participants about events as is the case with social networks. The developers have also included social media integration within the app and provided an option to create quickly paper announcements with QR-codes to attract attention of those people who have not installed the app.
Sergey Pavlov, Artezio CTO, “When you ask for help in Facebook, your post will only be visible to your friends, but there are situations when you need those people who are nearby at the moment and can help faster. We suggest bringing people together not according to their interests or age but based on their desire to provide help. And this would simply mean registering and installing our app.”
The current concept of the app development enables offering help not only to pets but also to people.
Vladimir Derunov, Friendly Citizens Project Manager at Artezio, “At first, we focused on the idea of providing help to animals. Then we realized that we had developed a full-fledged service that allowed helping not only animals but people as well. Similar projects existed earlier but they were all just small start-ups that did not get enough financing and support from the leading software developers. Their creators tried to monetize their solutions through advertising or direct payments made by users. However, our app is absolutely free and is not aimed at generating profit.”
The Friendly Citizens app is currently undergoing final testing. It is expected to be available for download on the App Store and Google Play in Russia at the beginning of May 2017.
