Artezio, Alibaba Group and Leading Commercial Companies Discuss the Prospects of E-Commerce

Alex Vassiliev, Regional Director for Russia and CIS countries (Cainiao) at Alibaba Group, noted that the development of technologies for efficient Internet trading is a modern trend and a priority for many companies, including Alibaba Group. According to Vassiliev, the company invests in the development of cloud technologies and specialized platforms that allow performing trade operations around the globe. At the same time, delivery of goods is carried out by partner organizations and by users who can offer their courier services. Talking about the prospects of cooperation with the European market, Vassiliev described a number of difficulties that hamper the entry of European and CIS companies to the Chinese market. In addition to the correct localization of goods and services, there are a number of technical problems associated with the integration of computer systems.

At E-commerce Day, Artezio presented its expertise in building projects based on Salesforce – a universal solution that is actively used in the e-commerce industry around the world. The company portfolio includes a large number of projects for leading commercial brands and online stores.

At the conference, the participants noted that not all businesses involved in e-commerce use universal solutions. Besides, currently there is no global platform that would allow companies to effectively interact in the international markets and build trade relations with countries. Large players invest in their own development, while small businesses can’t afford to invest in serious development.

During the forum, the participants agreed to return to the discussion of the project on standardization of e-commerce approaches, assess the need to develop new standards and participation of all related parties.

The international forum E-commerce Day is held in Belarus each year. Leading trade and IT companies, business professionals and investors attend the event.
